I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. I have included a little Christmas poem that I wrote a few years ago. Consider it a Christmas card from me to you. Be safe and have a good one. Tony T.

The Fantastic Story
A christmas Poem
Written by: Tony Turner

Gabriel himself was sent unto Mary,
A sweet young virgin that was not yet married.
He said fear not highly favored one,
You will give birth to Gods only son.
Mary said to Gabriel, how could this be,
I've never known a man you see.
The angel told Mary, the Holy Ghost will provide
The seed of the baby that's growing inside.
I'm the handmaid of the Lord Mary did say,
Let this thing that you speak of come to pass just this way.

Now Joseph was troubled by all of these things,
Until an angel of the Lord entered his dreams.
The angel said, Joseph, you have nothing to fear,
These things are of God, be of good cheer.
His friends had all told him to put Mary away,
But what the angel told Joseph changed his mind that day.
So Joseph took Mary to be his good wife,
Together that's how they started their new life.

Now from Caesar Augustus a decree came down,
A census was to be taken, each one to their own town.
So Joseph took Mary to Bethlehem that day,
She was great with child; they had nowhere to stay.
An Innkeeper told them they could stay in his barn,
He didn't think it would cause any harm.
Mary gave birth to a son while there,
She wrapped him in cloth, laid him in a manger with care.

Way out in the fields shepherds did keep
Close constant watch over all of their sheep.
A normal night, like all the nights before,
Little did they know that a savior had been born.
All of a sudden angels appeared,
The poor lowly shepherds were filled with great fear.
Fear not said an angel, I bring good news of great joy,
The world has a savior with the birth of a boy.

This child can be found in Bethlehem town,
In a broken down stable with animals around.
In a manger you'll find him just as we claim,
He's only a baby, but he's Christ just the same.
Then the sky was filled with heavenly host all around,
Praising God in the highest with a glorious sound.

When the angels took leave the shepherds did say,
Let's go see this child in the manger where he lays.
They found him just where the angels had said,
Wrapped up in old cloth using a manger as a bed.
They spread the good word concerning this child,
To everyone they passed mile after mile.

After his birth some wise men appeared,
Following his star for a couple of years.
They brought the young child fine gifts from the east,
Gifts of great value ......... to say the very least.
They fell down and worshipped the Christ child king,
Then departed for home being warned in a dream.

Now I know this story sounds to fantastic to believe,
But God did it all just to save you and me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
