***** Note From Web Master: This is a thread from a year or so ago but it seems to explain adding pictures better than I ever could. I have edited out the parts that had nothing to do with adding pictures and added a few comments along the way to point out what was being done wrong. I have locked this post so it can not be added to but if you think I need to add something send me a PM or e-mail me. Thanks, Tony *****T

You first need to have the pic on a photo hosting site of some kind. I use www.photobucket.com You will need to sign up for an accoutn and upload your picture there. Once it is there you will need two browsers open for the easist method. Under you pic on photobucket there are three boxes with different "links" to your picture. Click on the one marked IMG This should highlight the link. Right click on the link and do a copy and then paste into your message here.

Done!

Hope I explained it well enough.

Hi Rich,
I think what you are trying to do is insert a photo image so it will have to have the "Img" tag like this:

[*img] insert image link here [*/img]

Please note that I have added the * in the above tags to make it where you could see how the tags work. When you post your image use the Img button at the upper right side of this window. If you do it correctly it will look like this:

MY NEW TOY

I tried to use the picture from your link above but the picture is HUGE!!!! Please limit the size of pictures to no more than 640 X 480 and as small of file size as you can (try for under 100K) if you will be inserting them on the message board. People on dial up get a real suprise when they try to open a message with a big picture.

If you need more help just let me know --- I aim to please and live to serve.

Good luck,
Tony T

Photobucket has a resizing tool available. There should be an edit button above the image on PB. Click that and you should be able to find the resizing feature. If that doesn't work you will need to get the picture on your hard drive and use a photo editing software to resize. I used MGIPhotosuite. If you need more help let me know.

I have not posted a picture in a long time. Let's see how many attemps it takes for me to get on posted.

This is one of my 706s:

*****Note From Web Master: The reason the above link did not work was because it was not a good link. If you will read to the part where is says "pic=http;//www.tractorshed Cool the semicolon ; should be a colon : for it to be a correct URL. I hope this helps. Tony T *****

Keith,

The host site has to allow linking from their site. I'm not sure if "they" do. That is why I use photobucket. It's so easy even a dummy like me can figger it out. I'm sure there are others out there that are just as good.

Nice to see that biggun' back up and running again.

Joe
